Getting Started
Which part do I use first?
Start with the dry enzyme packet stored under the cap.
Mix it with water as directed on the package, allow it to activate for 15 minutes, and apply it before using the liquid inside the bottle.
What if the enzyme does not dissolve completely?
Small particles may remain after mixing.
Continue mixing as directed and apply the entire mixture. A few remaining particles do not mean the treatment is unusable.
How much product should I use?
Use enough product to reach the full urine deposit, not only the area visible on the surface.
Urine can soak into carpet padding, mattresses, upholstery, and other absorbent materials. As a practical guide, approximately 1 ml of product is needed for 1 ml of urine.
Should I test the surface first?
Yes.
Perform a dye-stability test in a small, hidden area before treating the full surface. Use Urine-Erase® only on materials that will not be harmed by water.

Why do I have to wait eight hours?
Step 1 needs the full eight hours to reach the urine deposit and do its job.
Do not apply Step 2 early. After eight hours, apply the liquid from the bottle to the same area.
Why does the urine smell seem stronger during Step 1?
The smell may temporarily become more noticeable while Step 1 is working on the urine deposit.
Ventilate the area and allow the full treatment process to finish before judging the result.
Is foaming during Step 2 normal?
Some foaming may occur when Step 2 is applied.
Continue following the package directions and allow the treatment to finish.
Do I need to rub or scrub?
No.
Apply enough product to reach the full urine deposit. No rubbing or scrubbing is required.
Should I ventilate the area during treatment?
Yes.
Good airflow can help with temporary odours and drying. Open windows or use fans when appropriate for the area being treated.
When should I vacuum?
Wait until the treated area is completely dry before vacuuming.
How long will the area take to dry?
Drying time depends on the surface, the amount of product used, room temperature, humidity, and airflow.
Deep treatments on absorbent materials may take longer to dry.

What kinds of urine can Urine-Erase® treat?
Urine-Erase® is intended for urine stains and odours from people and animals.
Always follow the directions for the surface being treated.
Can it work on old or set-in problems?
Urine-Erase® is designed for both fresh and older urine problems.
Older deposits may require enough product to reach the full affected area beneath the visible surface.
What surfaces can I use it on?
Urine-Erase® may be used on many washable or porous surfaces, including carpets, mattresses, upholstery, floors, walls, kennels, and other urine-soiled areas.
Test first and use extra care with delicate materials or finishes.
Can I use it on hardwood?
Wood and finishes vary.
Test a hidden area first, avoid unnecessary oversaturation, and contact Reidell before treating valuable or delicate wood surfaces.
Why did the area look yellow or light brown after treatment?
A colour change can come from the material itself, backing, previous cleaners, minerals, or another stain separate from the urine.
Allow the area to dry fully before judging the final result.
What if the odour is gone but a stain remains?
Urine-Erase® treats urine contamination, but some discolouration may come from medication, dyes, previous cleaners, or damage to the material.
A remaining mark does not always mean urine is still present.
Can medication affect the colour of a urine stain?
Yes.
Medication and other substances in urine may contribute to discolouration that remains after the urine and odour have been removed.
What if I can still smell urine after treatment?
A remaining odour may mean the urine spread farther or soaked deeper than the area originally treated. Make sure enough product reached the entire deposit.
Can I repeat the treatment?
Yes.
Deep, old, or repeated urine deposits may require another complete two-step treatment. Allow the first treatment to finish and dry before treating the area again.
